From October 9–11, 2026, our downtown streets transform for the Port Horror Festival, an independent horror film and arts celebration co-directed by Miranda Lukaniuk and Mitchell Verigin. It's a fitting home for the genre: Port Hope served as the exterior filming location for Stephen King's IT, and the town's atmospheric Victorian architecture has since drawn horror fans back for IT Chapter Two and the upcoming Welcome to Derry.
